Measurement Period: 2023

The number of Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) Transit passengers for the fiscal year-ending June 30th, including RTC Ride/Rapid/Regional Connector (Intercity)/Sierra Spirit (RTC Ride prior to 2009).

Why is this important?

The RTC bus system is critical to our economy and an important part of the transportation mix, helping to reduce congestion and improve our air pollution. RTC Transit buses serve residents, students and regional visitors providing work, education and recreational bus ridership trips. Public transportation is often the only option for low-income workers to keep jobs and get to services or appointments.
