Breast Cancer Mortality Rate

State: Nevada
Measurement Period: 2022

Breast cancer mortality rate (crude) per 100,000 females.

Why is this important?

Breast cancer is a leading cause of cancer death among women in the US.  Although men and women can both get breast cancer, it is much more common among women.  Breast cancer is associated with increased age, hereditary factors, limited physical activity, obesity, and alcohol use.  Improvements in nutrition, reducing alcohol consumption, increasing physical activity, and eliminating the use of tobacco products, the US could significantly reduce total healthcare costs and people would experience an increase in length and quality of life.
